ConnQuest Connemara is a globally unique 12K mountain run/hike that will take place on the 17th September 2011 at high noon. The quest will start on Lettergesh Beach and will include a testing 4 peak mountain run/hike ascending to 600m. Quirky, challenging and fun tasks along the way will test your skills in the outdoors in a variety of ways.
The event starts on Lettergesh Beach, Renvyle, Co. Galway and ends back at the beach at the Connemara Caravan Park.
Race sign-on will be at the Connemara Caravan & Camping Park between 10am and 12 noon on the morning of the race - 17th Sept.
The official start time is 12 noon.
It is recommended that you register and pay online in advance of the race date. Race sign-on will be at the Connemara Caravan & Camping Park in Lettergesh, Renvyle, Co. Galway between 9am and 11am on the morning of the race - 17th September. When you arrive at the caravan park, state which race you are taking part in. You will then receive your race number and there will be staff on hand to answer questions.
What type of shoes should I use ?
Trail running shoes are recommended for this course. Trail shoes are specifically designed to give greater grip and stability for off running terrain as will be encountered.

Yes, camping is available at Connemara Caravan & Camping Park. The cost is €9 per night.
Free parking is available at the campsite and at a nearby public car park. Stewards will advise on the day where the best place to park is.
Toilets and showers are available on the campsite. Hot showers will be available before and after the event.
Refunds
When paying for your entry to ConnQuest Cnnemara it is stipulated that this is a non-refundable payment. As soon as a competitor enters we incur costs such as admin etc. It is not possible to transfer entries to any other events or for next year’s event, or change names with a different competitor.
We encourage you to use the course maps to practice on the ConnQuest Connemara course in advance.
Yes. Participants will be testing themselves against the elements. However, if the situation arrives that we are unlucky enough to get weather that may be dangerous to participants, the Race Director may have to make a decision to make changes to the route, and this will only be decided on the morning of the event.
The top guy and girl in each race will receive flights, accommodation and race entry to the Mighty Deer Stalker Adventure Race which is held in Scotland on St. Patricks Day 2012.
